I can haz…everything?
What a primo month we’ve had. Salvage is ticking along nicely, Omega continues to bow to our very whim, and my great circle of friends have helped me complete a few things that I had wanted to finish off. Its kinda hard to decide where to start.
Salvage:
MNK issues have continued to be somewhat of a bother but I think we might have found a solution in a new member so hopefully we can get things rolling consistently from now on.
We have been focused on getting Dyl his Skadi body and/or head of late but either LAC has been cock blocking his 25 head, Bhaflau bees have refused to pop and drop his 35 head or Dyl’s dodgy pulling skills have meant no 4th floor rampart to play with for 35 body. To be continued.
Meanwhile, we have seen a couple of wanted drops which Trench has been the lucky recipient of.
Tonight we are going to shoot for the 15 feet which are 100% drop rate to finish them off for Trench provided we have 2 MNKs along for the ride lol. Tuesday will see us in either Bhaflau or SSR again. I’d really like to get a piece for Rage and By as well as Promo when hes back into the swing of things.

Finally for Salvage this month, here’s what happens when the SAM and WHM die…
Limbus:
We had 2 Omega pops to use up this month and the drops have been great i.e. no Homam Heads! lol

ACP and others:
Glad I got this expansion though I really didn’t pay much attention to the story line. Something about this psycho kid and the end of the world.
Anyway, it was decided to make the push to finish off the ACP missions and get everyone the body pieces who could make it early in the month. Our battle plan was to have Al hold hate while continually running out of charm range, 2 RDM/DRKs stunning ga spells and 2 RNGs doing all the DMG. The plan worked really well and the 2 runs we did (I have blocked the failed middle run from my memory >.>) went really smoothly resulting in the following body pieces claimed!
I’m still undecided on the piece I want to get yet. My current jobs have or are working on better pieces for the body slot. Even my 68 DRG won’t use one since I have Askar body waiting. Right now, I think I’ll probably save it for when I level PLD and get the same one Al and Sil got. Other suggestions are welcome.
Also grats to Al on getting his ZNM drop, Aurum sabatons. A very nice piece that I wouldn’t mind a pair of for my up and coming DRG and my WAR. I’ll have to get back to working on my zeni balance though I still have to get my Hissho hachimaki.
Last week, I decided I wanted to redo Apocalypse Nigh to get an Ethereal earring. My Magnetic has been kind of a meh acquisition since I got it and the prospect of an Ethereal for DRG, BST, PLD one day and my damage down/standing macro for BLM and RDM was too much to pass up.
Knowing Dyl also wanted to finish this off, I had him come along on the promy climbs which was where he was at anyway and the 2 of us did the 3 climbs in just shy of 2 hours. It was laughably easy when I recall what an ordeal it was when going up the first time with a group of 6+. Far less aggro and the 2 of us had no problem killing all the strays and Memory receptacles.
A couple of nights later, we recruited Sukui (BRD), Al (WAR), Rebwolf (PLD) and Bubbo (MNK) to come along for the fight which we planned to zerg. Dyl came on RDM/DRK to lock down little bro and I came on SAM. After a few mins to buff up, we entered, got songs and charged. a few mins later…
It was sooo easy. lol
Next day…

Personal stuffs:
Dyl convinced me that leveling Alchemy to 60 wouldn’t be terribly hard and so I decided I’d get into it. After all, being able to make my own prism powders and Silent oils is very appealing.
I took it quietly and about a week or so later…
Now I am working on my Lu Shang rod, again just quietly. I expect it will take a good 6 months of fishing in my spare time and while looking for parties. I find it more stimulating when someone else is also fishing with me like Al and Cher. Speaking of Cher fishing with me, how about this gem of us “crossing swords” >.>
The aforementioned ACP missions also got me this little number proc…

Lastly, my merit points have slowly been accumulating as I do Campaign periodically, ENMs and just general goofing around. The accumulation finally resulted in my Bio III getting capped!
I’m trying very hard not to lose focus on finishing RDM before sinking merits into anything else. Next on the list is to finish Slow II which only requires one more upgrade then I’m done with group 2 RDM merits and can concentrate on the easier group 1 set.
So there you have it. A very productive month. Grats to all my friends and LS mates who got items and goals they were working on and thanks to everyone who helped me as well. I’ll leave you this time with a tell from a stranger that makes writing this blog all the worth while. Cya next time!
