I’m really tired right now but I want to do some writing…. so this is temp.

Basically school is ending, alot of wierd shit, fun summer I hope, oh man wierd shit, and I need sleep lol.

Right about now its Mid-term time. I can’t believe I’ve already been here… what… 8 weeks or so. The first thing I thought of when I arrived was “Whoa! O.O” San Francisco can be overwhelming. It’s quite the New New York-Lite if that makes any sense.

So far, I’m liking school alot. Loving some of my classes, dreading others. Having my verison of fun with pretty good friends. All and all, I can’t even begin to complain.

Photo-Story Boarding – This is one class I have grown to love. Whats better than running around all over San Francisco, taking pictures, and eventually filming! I mean, just, wow.

Computer Animation Production -  Oh My God, kill it now! I can’t stand making models and animating them. This is by far one of my worst classes this semester… bleh… just means I might need to switch to Illustration or something…

Forms of Analysis – Another class I am growing to love. It’s kind of therapeutic sitting there just drawing. This is the class I’m learning the most from. Shading has always been one of the banes of my existence but I’m starting to get it.

Experimental Animation – Fuck this class… fuck clay… fuck puppets… fuck it all. I’m a designer not an animator, so wtf!

With all the good and all the bad, I love it all.

Of course like any one else, I miss what I’ve had, where I’ve been, those I’ve left. But of course, nothing says I cannot say “Hi!” to the past.

On Jan. 22, 2009 much of the Final Fantasy XI community took a hard blow. As if it were a nature disaster ripping friends and family apart, bannings and temp-bannings for a “exploit” commensed.

I can’t agree with you more Chin. Consistency has never been one of SE’s strong suits whether it be a consistency on policy/actions or on new content (there is imbalance all over, take for instant JSE, more specifically JSE rings, as of today there is no JSE rings for jobs created after the Zilart expansion.) To add insult to injurey, SE likes to hide behind “limitations” and secrecy.

In the case of the “dupe exploit”, in my opinion, its hard to decipher whether this was a true exploit and not a part of the design of the game. From the times I’ve been in salvage, I often wondered, “How the hell did people find out how to pop the last floor Frog” or whatever the case may be to a NM in salvage. To me this just seemed more apart of the game than anything.

Like Chinchilla was saying, everything in FFXI is so shrouded in secrecy and there seems to be no *real* hints in-game or otherwise that, for instant, help us find a viable strategy for killing AV so we resorted to Soul Eater Zerging. There is nothing on PW so we go in blindly, and resort to old habits and old strategies.

Language Barriers and “Limitations” at a certain point are not, I repeat, are NOT an acceptable excuse. A mark of a good business is being constant, commited, and having a willingness to listen and worth with their costumer base. On this account, I feel SE has failed all those fans that genuinely loved them and all hours of enjoyment they have given.

So I’ve been bugging myself linkshell to do some ToAU Beastkings because…well… I want Nirvana dammit! And a few other people are thinking about mythic hunting. So we make our way to Arrapago Reef to overthrow the queen of the lamia. Here are a few highlights of mine.

DRF vs. Medusa

This was a really strightforward fight and I was happy to find out Garuda sucks ass to do damage on her. In the begining and the end, Garuda was constantly doing about 200-350 damage…. Ramuh on the other hand…

My Better is Better than Leausion's Better

Ramuh was way more consistant for some reason doing 350-500 damage. Really easy and really fun, oh and dont forget EPIC DROPS!

Every so often in salvage you’ll have a night like mine, where in the begining it all looks so bleque…. and as anyone will tell you if you do the same zone day in and day out without getting what you really want, it become vastly demorizing… but then it all turns around so easily. Just when you expect complete stew the zone surprises you…. Well I can’t complain or be even slightly emo any more. Why? Well we killed the Chariot on the way to the boss and it drop the 35 for this badass piece:

Ok, so at these point I was happy but after the 35 for that dropped, I definately didnt expect the boss to drop the tiara…. but it must been my luck day because not even a few moments ago I uncursed this {/drool} piece.

This is a nifty little piece that’s gonna serve me well I think. Its a great macro piece for Haste, Refresh, etc. and of course WHM meleeing in campaign =p ooo ooo and Light Arts mode for SCH.

What is 「10大ニュース」？

10大ニュース (juu dai nyuusu), is literally a list of 10 big(大) bits of news(ニュース) or events that have happened to you over the past year.

In Japan, the end of the year is filled with parties and drinking, much more so than the beginning of a new one. As the next year fast approaches, people will hold a 忘年会 (bou-nen-kai) , or a gathering (会) to forget (忘) the current year (年). This is accomplished through copious amounts of alcohol, and often times, the telling of one’s 10大ニュース. It’s like a personal Top-10 list.

This list can contain any 10 events that you feel have affected you deeply, most often in a positive way. As we all close another year here on Earth, (and thus another 25 years in Vana’diel), I felt it would be fun to combine a little bit of Japanese culture with the community’s penchant for touting in-game accomplishments. Everyone likes sharing their success, so here’s a perfect chance!

8. Pulling off a 1531 Slug Shot in merits.

7. Fan-Fest… mmmm… the food was good. lol

6. Speaking japanese to Kouji, M.M.M. designer… I was sooooooo nervous.

5. Getting an autograph from some of the developers of FFXI.

4. Being allowed to lot an A. Body Abjuration.

3. Doing Salvage with the people I do it with. I genuinely like them, and can call them friends. Regardless if I get anything or not, I’m just happy to be there.

Whats your Juu-Dai-Nuuzu?

So it’s a new year and it’s starting off well. My LS reformed and then reformed again so shits & giggles. There seems to be good luck headed our way in our new Morrigan’s Purple Shell, heh.

Well, with our shinny reformed shell, we decided to go to Behemoth’sDomain for the hell of it. Not knowing when he’d ever pop we randomly decided to try and claim it. No one even knew if it could be H.Q. pop or not. Suddenly, a thunderous roar, a flash of lightning, and a gaint purple beast appear… “What the fuck! OH SHIT! KING BEHEMOTH!!!” This was a fun and smooth fight and I couldnt wait to test out my new epic 5/5 Wind Blade. We didnt have much trouble, but at some point I got some Behemoth Horn up my ass and died, I couldnt help but laugh. We got some epic drops, no Defending Ring but I did make off with this little gem:

Alot of people find this garbage but, its not all bad to me. Especially since I can use this for my Conjuer’s Ring for more perpuation down fun.
