Well time for an update.

Some interesting stuff out of E3 this week.  Nintendo showed a lot of their classic series coming back.  One of the biggest has to be Kid Icarus Uprising.  I can say that probably no one expected this game.  They also revealed their new 3DS system.  I will probably end up getting this…. I mean its 3D … with NO glasses.  Also since the Kid Icarus game is going to be on that system.

Sony showed some neat things as well at E3.  The Playstation Move seems really interesting and I am getting kinda excited.  Sony is also really pushing 3D gaming.  I would love to see games in 3D and with the playstation move but sadly I don’t have a 3D TV and they run about $2,000~+.  So it will be a while before I get one lol.

Even some news about FFXIV came out of E3 (figured they had something since they actually had ads and a banner displayed for it.  This week is the LAST week of alpha testing and beta testing should be starting in a few weeks according to the interview.  The Beta ish version battle system looks really neat they totally revamped the battle system from the alpha version to the beta version.  Also since the beta is starting soon that brings the game one step closer to retail release.  I am getting excited and can’t wait for this game.

I am also really looking forward to the new fallout game coming out on oct.  I really liked fallout 3 and this is a similar to it but with a new local and about 2X the weapons and a new mode.  Hardcore mode apparently adds new things to make it more challenging like dealing with hunger, thirst, sleep deprevation and such.  I am really looking forward to this game now.

Bleh overdue for an update.

Not a whole lot has really gone on since my last post.  My job is over now and I had an interview with the group taking over for the YMCA.  Hope I hear from them as I would like to continue this line of work.

Actually I haven’t been drawing in like a week.  I want to just not motivation atm to draw maybe I will sketch somethings or something soon.  I am getting excited about Trinity Universe coming out later this month.  I heard about this from a friend a long time ago (Daiseke).  Also been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2.  Its pretty fun reminds me a lot of the 1st one with a few changes and additions.

Over like the last week I have been watching a lot more anime.  Finished Scrapped princess.  Need to watch Samurai deeper kyo.  Watched a few Miazaki movies too lately.  Need to increase my collection of anime. lol

Also been playing Left 4 Dead 2 a lot lately.  The new mutation chainsaw mas. is a lot of fun and all of my friends and me are enjoying it so far.

Well been a while since I have posted guess its time to again.

(sigh) Let’s see…… been drawing still.  I am trying to get better but I need some help and tips to make some significant progress quickly.  Last 2-3 days I been drawing hands as they are the worst thing to draw and like 99% or all artists hate them.  I guess its because they are so intricate and such.  My drawing skills are still bad imo.  I tried to draw a person today but shortly after the construction lines were finished and was starting to fill it out…. I realized some problems.  I think some tips and such would go a long way to helping me improve.

I want to start making more drawings good enough to where I want to color them on my computer.  I am liking my tablet and even though its been a while I still remember a fair amount of photoshop (got CS3 from ebay for a good deal, legit copy and everything).  Another reason I want to get better is so eventually I could bring some of my ideas to paper about my characters and such.  I think this would help me make my characters more clear and defined.

Well I beat the main story for FFXIII (overall I thought the game was pretty good, not the best but a good game still)  I am currently working on the extra side missions and trophies atm.  I am excited about Trinity Universe coming out next month.  I have already preordered it from the game company and will receive an artbook as a bonus.

Hey overdue for an update for probably the few people who read my blog if anyone does still lol.

Well I got a new tablet for my computer yesterday (arrived in the mail).  So far I am liking it.  It works with GIMP so I can use that at least until I figure out what I am gonna to program wise.  I have been looking at photoshop and would like to get it but retail is so expensive.  I want to get a official copy and not a pirated copy or anything.  I found out that adobe would let me install the comp on my PC and laptop just can’t run the program on both at the same time (which is fine because I didn’t plan on doing that anyway lol).  If I can’t find a good deal on a older version of photoshop I have another program or 2 that might be back ups once I get a few questions answered about them as well.

Still want to hear from my friends from FFXI.  Maryanne if you read this please email me I miss talking with ya. ^^

Not a whole lot has been going on lately.  Still playing L4D2 a lot.  I have been playing a lot of FFXIII as well (mostly farming for items to sell for gil).

I am thinking maybe once I have some drawings finished (inked and colored on comp) maybe I might display some here If I can figure out a good way to do that.  Not sure if there is a way to add a gallery to my blog or not.  Hey Rianon do you know how? lol

Been a little while since I last posted so I guess I should update.

Still doing some drawings some trying to get better but its not easy (I know its not supposed to be).  Maybe I will post a drawing here on my blog sometime soon idk yet. lol

Well “The Passing” came out on Thursday for l4d2.  Overall I am impressed with it.  It is a nice campaign and adds some nice new things to the game.  I am really liking this new Mutation thing that valve is doing.  Once a week they will change the mutation.  The 1st one they are doing is Realism VS.  I played a match last night and I can say it was a lot of fun (I really hope they end up making some of them selectable options later on.)  I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t add this as standard modes (they already have the coding done so… lol)

Still don’t know what I am gonna do when this job ends.  Doesn’t seem like a lot of places are hiring and I can’t seem to get into a school district to try a teaching aide or something to see if maybe being a teacher is where I need to go.

About a week ago while I was playing with some friends on l4d2 my mouse’s left button finally broke off (it was getting lose for a few weeks).  I bought a cheap mouse at a store but ended up returning it.  I ordered on thur or fri a mouse from amazon I had heard good things about it from reviews.  Its a Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision 3.5g Gaming mouse.  http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Deathadder-Precision-Infrared-Gaming/dp/B002Q4U5DK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top for a picture of it.  I really like the mouse, it was VERY sensitive when I 1st got it but after turning it down a little its a lot better. lol

OK….. rant time.

I have heard about all this drama regarding a recent major infraction of the NDA for FFXIV alpha/beta whatever.  Its not to hard to miss if you watch FFXIV news and such.  This is my opinion and stance on the subject.  Recently a person (not saying names to avoid causing drama but likely you know who) did a LIVE stream of them playing the alpha on day one of the testing.  The person claims that this is not any worse than the screen shots posted on other sites trying to justify their actions.  The person was reported in a thread apparently on the testing forums and but a person who has some drama surrounding them.  The person was then banned from the alpha 30 mins before the end of day one testing.  I really think this was blown way out of proportion.  I do not believe that this person was trying to start a witch hunt or anything.  I think people misunderstood and blew up a simple and slightly annoyed post.  (The thread was even posted on another site saying “(person) is a whiny *****” (changed words to keep it PG here).  I believe THIS is how a lot of drama came to be because this person is poking a sleeping beast for lack of a better word.

People need to let this go, I am only ranting because of the people causing the drama and people who say that the person who did the live stream is a hero or a martyr for FFXIV fans.  THIS PERSON IS NOT A HERO!  When you signed up for the test you agreed to a NDA stating that you would not release, post, publish and the like information regarding the testing.  This person broke the agreement no ifs ands or buts.  Yes this person showed hungry fans a look at the game but they violated their word.  I am a fan of FF games and if I was in the testing or not I feel the same way this person broke their word thus they deserved the ban.  I have always believed a person is as good as their word.

Some people say that the alpha testers are just mad that they aren’t “special” anymore.  I do not believe this is the case.  I believe that they are mad that a fellow tester didn’t just break the NDA but  willfully in such a way broke the NDA.  Also after the person was banned the next day this person was asking if someone would share their account with them because they were interested in the games development and they promised not to stream it again or record “unless it was ok with the owner”.  People defending the streamer even say that since the person was filling out bug reports they were doing their job the ban was unfair.  It does not matter they still broke the NDA.

Overall I am not happy with the community’s response on this whole issue.  Even if you do not like a rule you still have to abide by it.

I think they covers everything if anyone reads this rant thank you for listening to me.  I do not hate this person who broke the NDA but I am disappointed they the broke the NDA in such a way.  If anyone wants to discuss this or any official info from SE on FFXIV feel free to email me or something I enjoy having mature discussions. ^^

Nothing major has happened really but I want to post something and see if I get some opinions.

I am trying to think of a last name for my character Kuyon.  I have thought of a few so far some are ok but I don’t know if they fit.  Any suggestions would be welcome maybe atleast give me an idea lol.

Well update wise nothing much has been going on.  Playing Left 4 Dead 2 as well as FFXIII and Sakura Wars.  Still been drawing some but still not good enough to show off any pictures here or anything.  Have some trouble getting poses for creatures and humans to look right.

I have been getting excited based off some of the info that SE has released on their website for FFXIV.  Sounds like a ton of fun ^.-  Can’t wait for a full retail release this year (hope it still comes out this year).

Bah way behind on posting an update.

Well not a whole lot has really been going on.  I am really enjoying FFXIII (yeah it is pretty linear with like no side quests and such) but I am still enjoying the story and such.  Still playing Left 4 dead 2 a lot.  I am hoping the DLC “The passing” comes out soon. They said that there would be new game modes and I am curious about what they are and hope they are good.

Been drawing a little lately.  I really want to get better but some parts are really frustrating (hands and such I am looking at you!).  Still not totally sure what I am going to do this summer since my job is ending.

Still want to receive emails from my friends from FFXI (Maryanne I don’t have your email address and would like to keep in touch with you,meowse,and lslayer)  Rirae also needs to email me as well as a few others.

Might post another one soon if I think of anything else or something happens lol.

Well I am overdue for an update so here it is!

Well not a whole lot has been going on other than the usual stuff playing games and watching tv and such.  Been playing Left 4 Dead 2 a lot lately, I really love that game.

(sigh) I will admit that lately I have been tempted to come back but I still don’t plan to return atm.  I am getting several friends emailing me occasionally which I like so I can keep in touch with them.

Some new info has been released on the official site for FFXIV as well as interviews with the devs.  Some of the info has me really excited for this game to launch.  Like normal SE has also kept some really wanted info secret.  I am curious how we will strengthen our characters (system) and what kind of penalty there will be for dying (common theory is maybe some degrading of weapons/armor maybe).  I really like one piece of info they released about the elemental affinities.  They say we will be able to chose to specialize or generalize our resistances to elements as we get stronger (so we could resist Fire really well and not Thunder or something).  I am really looking forward to this game launching this year (hope it does).  There is also a Screen shot that Famitsu I believe  released that shows the interface of the FFXIV.  I like the looks, it looks nice a clean and I also heard that you can move the windows in the UI which will allow for even more customization.

Yeah I have been keeping track of the announcements relating to FFXI.  First the level cap….. this was really out of left field.  I always thought if they did raise the cap (which I didn’t think they would do unless some serious balance issues are made with JA/spells) would be 80 maybe.  Level 99….. wow that was not expected.  Some more NMs will be soloable by rdms now unless the mobs powers are raised some.  Even kirin might be trioable or something with 3 99s lol idk. I hope some armor isn’t made obsolete because of the increased cap (salvage gear, sky gear) but some alternatives would be nice (as good but in a different way).

The new magician system that will modify weapons sounds really neat.  Since relic and mythic weapons are able to be subjected to this I bet joyeuse would be too and if I still played I would love to modify it.

The new expansions sound really neat too.  We have AF…… then relic….. whats the new stuff going to be called?  Maybe Mystic armor?

With all this announced I will admit it does tempt me to come back and I might return (chance increased with these announcements) but currently I have no plans to return.

Well beta invites were supposed to be sent out on march 1st.  People are saying if they got accepted but I am not sure if that is actually against the NDA (non disclosure agreement) or not….. I sent a message to SE asking about this hopefully they give me an actual reply and don’t dance around the issue again.  If it is against the NDA or isn’t is kinda debated in the community.
